Hi, I’m Sky

I grew up in Boise, Idaho, where my love for movement started in our garage—aka Geronimo Gym. My mom ran a training business out of our garage that eventually became a fully equipped gym, so fitness was literally built into my home. My dad, an adventure junkie, trained for summits by hauling weights up ski resorts in the summer—so naturally, pushing limits became second nature to me. I played every sport I could, from basketball to soccer to track, because why pick just one when you can do them all?

My fitness journey kicked off with personal training at a local athletic club. I worked my way up to training manager at one of the biggest locations, leading an entire training department. But I wanted more—I craved growth, so I packed my bags for San Diego and jumped into an internship with one of the best human performance training companies in the world. There, I got to work with pro athletes and tactical teams, seeing firsthand what elite-level training could do.

Several people are gathered around, including a woman and a man in athletic attire standing near a table with promotional materials. A sign advertising water and sports physical therapy is visible in the foreground, and a large TV screen is set up next to the booth. Some trees and cars are visible in the background on a sunny day.

Then came Lanai, Hawaii. I landed a dream role at the top luxury wellness company, working with some of the most successful people in the world. I got to geek out on performance tech like VO2 max testing, gait analysis, force plates, and wearables, using them to create life-changing programs. But my biggest discovery? The magic of water for recovery. It inspired me to develop an aquatic movement program, bringing my journey full circle. And, of course, I kept racing—marathons, an Ironman 70.3, you name it.

I took my basketball dreams to college in Salem, Oregon, but life had other plans. A series of injuries, way too many surgeries, and a blood clot later, I was told at 19 that I’d never run again. That was a hard pill to swallow—until I met a performance specialist who flipped the script. They not only gave me hope, but they also reignited my passion for movement. Suddenly, I had a new mission: help others move freely and live without limits. I changed my degree to Exercise Science, laced up my running shoes again, and never looked back.

Next up: corporate wellness. I joined a top company designing wellness programs for big biotech firms, organizing charity 5Ks, and even running stretch breaks during Zoom meetings (because sitting all day is the worst). This phase taught me how much community impacts both well-being and performance. Oh, and I started competing in triathlons—because once you can run pain-free again, why not go all in?

Now, over a decade into my career, I’m still chasing growth and helping others do the same. Life is meant to be lived fully—happy, strong, and moving freely. And guess what? Strength training is the golden ticket to making that happen. Whether you're looking to train with me one-on-one, dive into a customized workout plan, bring wellness into your company, join an empowering community event, or elevate wellness hospitality experiences, let’s connect and make it happen. Let’s train, let’s grow, and let’s create something amazing together!
